I had a wonderful experience at this seafood restaurant! The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, especially the soupe. Solid simple seafood in what is practically a Hamburg stalwart. The fish soup is good and their fish is generally decent though without any additional seasoning or finesse. The prices are also alright for what’s smack in the middle of downtown Hamburg.
The food here was really delicious, fresh and perfectly prepared – truly a place that lives up to its reputation when it comes to fish dishes. However, I had a rather disappointing service experience. I kindly asked the waiter if I could switch my tea to a coffee, and his only reply was “it’s ready”. In the end, I just received a cup of hot water with a teabag, which felt very underwhelming, especially in such a well-known restaurant with such great cuisine. I really hope the management improves the service quality to match the outstanding food.
